We just returned from Las Vegas and the 2025 World Master Jiu Jitsu Championship and Jiu Jitsu Con, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience—or the results! This incredible weekend was packed with high-level seminars, intense competitions, and plenty of fun.
Jiu Jitsu Con is like an entire city dedicated to our sport—more than 12,500 athletes competed this year, filling the West Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center. Our team from Topeka took full advantage: we trained in multiple seminars, explored vendor booths, met world-famous athletes, coaches, and personalities, enjoyed some well-earned açaí, and cheered each other on every step of the way.
Tournament Highlights
Our athletes who competed at this level for the first time showed excellent Jiu Jitsu and returned home motivated to improve even more. Those who had been there before came back stronger, performing better than last year and proving how much progress we’ve made as a team.
One of the biggest moments of the weekend came when Coach Kari earned 3rd place in her World Championship division and was promoted to Brown Belt on the podium—becoming Topeka’s first woman Brown Belt and the only athlete from Topeka to win a World Masters medal in many years. We couldn’t be more proud to have a World Medalist representing R. E. Training Center!
